GROUP POLICIES

RESERVATIONS: Reservations are subject to availability and should be made as soon as travel dates are selected. Reservations are required at least 72 hours in advance for programs and guided tours and are requested for self-guided visits.

PAYMENT/COMPLIMENTARY POLICY: Payments must be made in advance or on the day of your visit. Cash, Visa, MasterCard, and checks made to the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation are accepted. Date of visit, reservation number, group/school name, contact name and phone number must appear on check. Group rates are available for 15 or more people with one form of payment. Youth/student groups are eligible for one complimentary chaperone admission with every 10 paid.

FINAL COUNTS/ CANCELLATION POLICY: Please confirm your travel plans 30 days in advance. Final counts/cancellations must be received 72 hours prior to arrival. If you must cancel, please obtain a cancellation number. No shows will be billed.

PARKING: Complimentary parking is available for cars, motorcoaches and school buses.

DAY OF ARRIVAL TOUR TIPS: Plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled visit time to register and use the facilities. Designate one person responsible for payment procedure; one payment is required for the entire group. Proceed to the museum lobby/group check-in to register and pay for the visit. If your group is scheduled for a guided tour or program, your guide will meet you at the bus drop-off area. Please bring confirmation letter.

Day Trip - Legacy Learning at Jamestown Settlement and the Yorktown Victory Center
Start the day with "First Settlers" program at Jamestown Settlement by participating in "Cultures in Contact" (hands-on program). Then enjoy a self-guided tour of exhibit galleries and outdoor areas, or stay in the "settlers' den" for a film. Browse in the gift shops. Dine on your own at your leisure in the Jamestown Settlement Café. Travel to the Yorktown Victory Center along the scenic Colonial Parkway for the "First Freedom" program. Participate in "Colonial Medicine" (hands-on program), then a self-guided tour of galleries and outdoor areas, or stay in the "freedom den" for a film. Visit the gift shop and head for home through historic Yorktown. Length: 8 hours. Cost: See Group Admissions, Self-Guided Visit with Hands-on Program. Three Days, Two Nights - America's Historic Triangle Package
Travel back in time to Jamestown Settlement, to discover the 17th-century roots of American culture, language and government; Colonial Williamsburg, to encounter the stirrings of revolution; and the Yorktown Victory center, to witness the transformation of the 13 British colonies into a nation.
Day 1 Tour Jamestown Settlement - afternoon arrival. Explore the world of 1607, when 104 men set anchor in Virginia and began to build America's first English permanent colony. Visit a Powhatan Indian village and replicas of the settlers' three ships and fort. Leave time for the gift shop and Jamestown Settlement Café.
Day 2 Begin your tour of Colonial Williamsburg at the Visitor Center. The capital city of Virginia is reconstructed and restored to its 18th-century appearance and features exhibit homes, public buildings, colonial crafts, gardens, dining and shopping at Merchants Square.
Day 3 Visit the Yorktown Victory Center where the stories of everyday people who lived during the Revolution are told. In the re-created Continental Army encampment, costumed interpreters demonstrate camp cooking, musket firing, and field medicine. At the 1780's farm, interpreters demonstrate daily activities of a Tidewater Virginia "middling" farm.
